BUILD IT.

BREAK IT.

IMPROVE IT.

Put the open-source Myrmic runtime to the test. From September 9–28, build a real use case, break it to find its limits, or extend it.

Why this challenge?

The edge is not a small cloud.

Edge software has to deal with unreliable connectivity, constrained resources, and changing hardware — on top of state, messaging, and recovery. Strong tools exist for each piece, but teams still combine them differently for every system.

Myrmic brings these pieces into one application model. Write portable application logic in Rust and WebAssembly, while keeping hardware-specific capabilities native. The runtime handles state, messaging, and recovery for you.

The Build & Break Challenge is your chance to test it, explore its limits, and help shape what comes next.

Test Responsibly

Test only systems you own or are explicitly authorized to test.
